Tom Haughton has over 20 years of professional management experience, which he brings into his position as vice president of Thorwin Properties, a Winnipeg-based property management company with a mission of helping individuals find quality, multi-family houses that they are proud to call home. Thorwin Properties has roughly 1,400 apartment units they own and manage in the Winnipeg area. The company’s core values of respect, accountability, forward thinking and teamwork are ones that Tom uses in his daily life.
Thomas Haughton studied at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, graduating with honours in 1996 with a Bachelor of Commerce.
Before Thorwin Properties, Tom served as the CEO of Global Drug Supply in Barbados, where he was responsible for all aspects of the midsized International Business Corporation including training and developing his management team.
Tom’s professional work history has helped him refine his skills in human resources, customer service, sales and marketing, business operations, coaching and development, procurement, data processing, business development and finance. In addition, Tom is committed to constantly upgrading his skills and believes that learning is a lifelong pursuit. Since completing his studies at the University of Manitoba, he has continued to enhance his skills by completing coaching sessions, self-development seminars and more.
Tom Haughton lives in Winnipeg with his wife and three children. He has been a dedicated supporting of a variety of charities, including the Winnipeg Humane Society; Lighthouse Mission; Agape Table; the Canadian Cancer Society; World Vision; and the Terry Fox Foundation.
In 2018, Tom was instrumental in a Thorwin Properties fundraiser that helped raise funds for Manitoba Mutts. Thorwin Properties’ first-ever Tenant Appreciation Day attracted over 150 guests where there was food, games and fun for all ages. The event also raised over $1,000 Manitoba Mutts.
He and his family are always on the lookout for new ways to help their community and support worthy causes.
